5 Key Tips To Making Outstanding Google Posts
Content: Is your post about a future event? New product or service? How about a limited time savings? Do you have some exciting news to share? Consider what you want your post to do, and make the content — whether to encourage customers to visit your store, sell something, or announce a new feature.
Imagery: Videos and photo are a great eye catching way to connect! Be sure to take a high-resolution photos reinforcing your message so your post stands out. Photos should be simple, relevant, and bright! At a minimum, pick a resolution of 720px wide by 540px tall, in JPG or PNG format. Google accepts the following file formats for video: AVI, MP4, MOV, FLV, WMV, MPG, M4V, MKV, M2TS, and MTS. The maximum size for videos is 100 MB.
Title (if your post is an event): Describe your event in 4-5 words. You have 58 characters for your title.
It's all in the Details: Be clear and direct about the offer/event. Google gives you 100-300 words to play with but remember people have short attention spans.
Direction: Include a “Call To Action” to direct your potential customers where you want them to go. Call of actions include links to “Buy,” “Book online,” “Learn more,” “Call,” or “Visit."
